Register now for the BLU leadership workshop!

The 4-H Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU) program is an exciting and fun leadership adventure that brings together youth from across the state of Minnesota. Hosted by the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors, each retreat uses a youth-teaching-youth model to teach a leadership topic, participate in team-building activities, and meet other youth from their region.

All youth enrolled in grades 6-12 and first-year college students are welcome to attend. Non-4-H youth are encouraged to participate.

Five BLUs will be held at various locations throughout the state:

  • Feb 3-4 - Central BLU in Paynesville - Register by Jan. 8.
  • Feb 3-4 - Southeast BLU in Stewartville - Register by Jan. 10.
  • Feb 17-18 - Northwest BLU in Detroit Lakes - Register by Jan. 10.
  • Feb 24-25 - Northeast BLU in Palisade - Koochiching County Registration Deadline - Jan 25.
  • Feb 24 - Southwest BLU in Marshall - Register by Feb 1.

Contact your local 4-H office to check which BLU youth are planning to attend from your area.
