4-H Project Bowl

The second most attended 4-H event all year is the Project Bowl competition. Patterned after the golden-oldie television show "College Bowl", it challenges teams of 3-6 youth on their knowledge of specific 4-H project areas.  The project areas offered currently in Beltrami County are: General Livestock, Horse, Poultry, Rabbit, and Lama.

Team members study materials to prepare for the Regional Project Bowl Competition, held in Grand Rapids on Saturday, March 17, followed by the State Project Bowl on April 7 at the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School.  Each species has two divisions: Junior (grades 3 - 8) and Senior (grades 4 - graduation). Regional winners advance to the State Project Bowl and state winners in dairy, general livestock, horse, poultry and wildlife may go on to national contests.

Get your friends together, study hard, and ... most of all HAVE FUN during the project bowl season!
