LQA&E Training

Are you up to date on your Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics (LQA&E) training? It is highly recommended that all Beltrami County 4-H’ers who are interested in showing livestock at the Beltrami County Fair, take the LQA&E course.  All youth participating as a State Fair 4-H livestock exhibitor in beef, dairy, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbits, meat and dairy goat and lama must have completed the LQA&E training. Certification is required prior to county fair qualifying show and is good for three fair seasons.  Click here for the Minnesota 4-H Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics Policy.

Beltrami County will offer LQA&E training on March 24 from 8 a.m. – noon at the Evangelical Covenant Church at 5405 Hart Ln NW in Bemidji. (It is on Hwy 2 across from the movie theater)

Level 1 and Level 2 will be offered.

Out of County 4-H'ers are welcome to participate for a $5 fee.  Pre-registration is appreciated.

If you want to know if you are up-to-date on your training or would like to register for the training, please call the Extension office at the number below.

If you would like more information about LQA&E, please see the Minnesota 4-H website.
