Exploring Horses - 4-H Style

Do you love horses and want to learn more about them? 

In this session you will:

  • make a stick horse
  • learn horse terms
  • learn how to care for horses
  • names of breeds and where they originate
  • coat colors
  • safety tips for being around horses

You will discover the opportunities in the 4-H horse program including showing your horse at the County Fair, classes you can enter and what they are.

You will even participate in drill team with your stick horse as well as learning to throw a rope at a fake calf or steer and tie a fake goat.

Registration is $17 per youth and will be held at the Foley Intermediate School.

Class is limited to 30 people with a 10 person minimum.
