Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU) Workshop

The Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU) workshops engage youth in grades 6-12 in activities to build leadership skills while forming relationships with other youth and learning to work together to make a difference in their communities. BLUs are planned and facilitated by other youth - the Minnesota 4-H State Ambassadors.

Here in Aitkin County, it is the goal of the Interim Program Coordinator to encourage as many youth to participate as possible! This event will be a stepping stone to creating a youth leadership team in our county. A youth leadership team would allow our older youth to become more engaged in 4-H, take on leadership roles in our county, and allow them to make this program truly theirs.

Registration for this event is open now until February 1st. You can enroll online on 4Honline or by paper which can be downloaded from the BLU website ( If you have any questions don't hesitate to call the office or email.
