County Project Day: Clothing Project

Clothing and Textiles Project Display - County Fair 2017

Join your fellow members and the Ambassadors for a full day of sewing, learning and fun! The Ambassador group decided to pick a project area each year to try out or to increase their skills. This year they are focusing on the Clothing and Textile Project. Join them and project leaders on Wednesday, December 27th in the Assembly Room at the Chippewa County courthouse in Montevideo from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The day will be split into two sessions. The first part of the day will be spent sewing walker and wheelchair bags to donate to veterans. The material for this is generously donated by Fabric Warehouse. The 2nd half of the day will be sewing a pair of pajama pants for yourself! You will bring thread, flannel fabric and elastic. Once you register, you will be given the pattern number to purchase and the amount of fabric indicated by the pattern. Bring all of this with you on the 27th. You can also plan to bring your sewing machine (or make plans ahead of time to share with someone who is bringing a machine), a lunch and snacks and an adult if you can.

See the attached flyer for full details and registration information, or call the office at 320-269-6521. REGISTER BY DECEMBER 15H.
