We’re hiring! Well, Sort of...

There are several opportunities for youth in 4-H – this is nothing new. And in order for those opportunities to be made available, a volunteer leader(s) is needed to lead them. Each program listed below is still pretty new, which leaves a lot of room for creativity. Consider helping us build one!

Ambassador Leader (2 positions available)
Commitment: October 2017 – August 2018
Location: flexible
Job Duties: Lead teens 7th grade and up through a series of youth leadership lessons (curriculum provided), organize community service projects, and identify opportunities for the group to participate in and plan 4-H promotional events.

NW Region Science of Agriculture Team Coach (multiple positions available)
Commitment: January 2018 – October 2018
Location: flexible
Job Duties: Lead a team of 7th + graders in identifying, researching and presenting a current agricultural issue.  Coaches meet regular with their team and guide them in developing goals and a timeline, and serve as a facilitator to help the youth learn new skills and concepts that allow youth to solve the challenge.

Media Workshop Coordinator (multiple positions available for 2017-2018 4-H year)
Commitment: Short term (one month of planning)
Location: flexible
Job Duties: Plan & assist in facilitating a county-wide Media Workshop with the following components: educational presentation, implementation plan and a learning in action workshop. Role may also include identifying media tools to focus learning on, recruiting industry expert to deliver education component and organizing workshop logistics in conjunction with 4-H program coordinator.
