4-H Paper Making and Wilderness Skills Project Workshop at Dodge Nature Center on Jan. 27

Paper Making - Make your own paper from recycled and natural materials. Participants will compare different types of paper and paper products and learn the process of making paper by doing it themselves.

Wilderness Skills - What does it take to survive in the wild? This class gives participants the insight into how the environment has an impact on humans in a survival situation. Participants will be introduced to the skills of fire-building and survival shelter construction.  Dress for the snowy, muddy trails.

Who:               Youth in grades 3-8; Parents are required to stay with their children for these classes

When:             Saturday, Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. - Noon

Where:            Dodge Nature Center, 365 Marie Ave., West St. Paul, MN

Cost:               $5 per participant

Registration:   Pre-registration and payment required by Jan. 22
