2016-2017 Achievement Banquet and Awards Program


The 2016-2017 Achievement Program will be on Sunday, November 19th, at 12:30 p.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Blue Earth. Please bring a dish, salad, or dessert to share.  Tableware and beverages will be provided.  This will be a pot-luck meal followed by the awards program. In addition, you are invited to bring a toy or non-perishable food items to donate to the Faribault County Food Shelf and Western Faribault County Toy Drive. Awards earned throughout the year will be presented during the program. Award winners will be receiving a postcard in the mail to let them know of their recognition. Youth council officers and adult volunteers will be recognized as well as the election of the new youth council officers and adult advisors. This will be a fun afternoon to celebrate the accomplishments of 4-H’ers and volunteers this year! We look forward to seeing you there!! 

 

The fall achievement program also includes our Special 4-H Awards and we are looking for nominees for these awards. 

• Friend of 4-H-- A non 4-H'er or alumni who had done 4-H special favors because he/she believes in our youth development mission.
• Alumni Award--A former Faribault County 4-H'er who attributes his/her success to participation in 4-H. 
• Outstanding Leader--For club, volunteer or project leaders who excel at working with youth, helping them to "Make the Best Better".
• Above and Beyond Award--A 4-H'er (adult or youth) who has invested extra time and effort for the good of Faribault County 4-H well Above and Beyond what is normally expected. 
• Spirit of 4-H Award--For 4-H'ers who work, "in the trenches", doing lots of tasks to help out 4-H, not necessarily because they are in a position of leadership.  
• I DARE YOU Award--To recognize youth 15-18 years of age for striving to be their best, possessing personal integrity, leading balanced lives and making a positive difference through the promise of their character and leadership.  


If you or someone you know would be a good candidate for one of these awards, please fill out the nomination form attached below or Available at the Extension Office and return it to the Extension Office by Monday, November 13th.
