ATTENTION CORN PRODUCERS
Today (Friday, October 10, 2003) the corn Posted County Price at the FSA Offices is dead even with the Loan Rate. Therefore the loan deficiency payment (LDP) is zero. Many farmers are delivering corn and may be caught off guard with the Loan Deficiency Payments which should be available next Tuesday morning if the market closes down (FSA offices are closed on Monday and the posted county price will not change from today). It is important that all farmers delivering corn and losing beneficial interest sign and deliver a CCC-709 form to their local FSA office prior to delivery to be eligible for a corn LDP. You can certainly do this at an FSA office or go to the FSA e-forms website and request a 709 form at the search prompt. Forms can then be faxed to the local offices. It is a simple process and if properly completed will cover the farmer for the rest of harvest regardless of the vender that is purchasing the grain.
