2003 - 2004 Land Rental Survey Booklets Available

The University of Minnesota Extension Service in South Central Minnesota has completed its annual "Land Rental Survey Booklet" for 2003-2004. The booklet contains actual cash rental rates paid in 2003, projected rental rates for 2004, as well as rental trend data for flexible leases, share rental arrangements, rental agreements with family members, the impact of tile drainage on rental rates, and other information. The data in the rental survey is based responses from landlords and farm operators in Blue Earth, Brown, Carver, Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Le Sueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, McLeod Mower, Nicollet, Redwood, Rice, Rock, Scott, Sibley, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, and Winona counties. The Booklet contains a cash rent worksheet for 2004, factors influencing cash rental rates, flexible case rental arrangements, crop share rent, and farm building/pasture rent guidelines.
