County Fair Volunteers

We are looking for individuals to help as County Fair Judging Assistants and Herdsmanship Judges!

County Fair Judging Assistants:  County Fair Judging Assistants help with General Exhibit Judging Day on Monday, August 4th.  Each assistant is assigned to a judge in a particular project area and assists with marking call sheets and displaying exhibits.   NO EXPERTISE IN THE PROJECT AREA IS NEEDED! There are 2 shifts - 12:45pm-4:30pm (orientation at 12:30pm) and 4:30pm-8:00pm, or until done (orientation at 4:15pm).  We need 1 adult and 1 older youth member to assist in each area for each time slot - there are 82 slots to fill!  You may sign up for a slot during each shift if you would like.

Herdsmanship Judges:  Herdsmanship judges the cleanliness of the barns, the attractiveness of the displays, the care of the animals, and the actions of the exhibitors.  Clubs compete against each other in each specie area, with the winners having the opportunity to choose their spot in the barn the next year.  Judging happens twice daily each specie.  We ask parents who volunteer to not judge a specie where their children are exhibiting.
