Horse Project Bowl Team Forming

Volunteers with the Kanabec County 4-H Horse Project are looking for youth interested in joining a project bowl team for 2018!  ALL youth with an interest in horse are welcomed and encouraged to participate!

What is project bowl, you ask?  Offered in the areas of dairy, dog, general livestock, horse, poultry, rabbit and wildlife, teams are divided into two age brackets - Junior (grades 3-8) and Senior (grades 4-12+).  Teams will go head-to-head against other counties in a double elimination match, using a fun and exciting game-style method to enhance their knowledge and expertise around their project.

Check out the Minnesota 4-H Project Bowl website for rules, resources, and more information for the 2018 bowls.

If you would like to be involved with the horse team(s) - or are interested in getting a team in another project area started, please contact Laura.

The horse bowl team plans to begin practicing in January.

2018 Bowl dates and locations are:

  • March 3 – Foley (Regional Qualifier)
  • April 7 – State Bowl (Sauk Rapids)
