4-H Science of Agriculture Challenge

The Science of Agriculture Challenge is a hands-on learning experience to inspire the next generation of agriculture leaders in Minnesota. In Hennepin County 4-H we are encouraging youth in urban settings to partake in this challenges and be part of the next generation of agricultural leaders as well.  In the past Science of Agriculture Challenges, most recipients hailed from rural Minnesota.  Hennepin County 4-H wants to inspire urban and suburban youth to use scientific thinking to solve challenges facing their communities: water quality, renewable energy, soil contamination, strategies for growing food in urban settings, and many more.  We will partner teams of 3-5 youth with an adult mentor and a coach from a related industry, and they will have the opportunity to compete to win college scholarships through the Challenge.

Please have a team of 3-5 youth in grades 6 and up with an idea in mind registered by February 1st, 2018.
