4-H Fashion Review & Performing Arts Contest

Fashion Review

Fashion Revue will be judged on Monday, July 17th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caledonia. Judging will begin at 10:00am.
We will again be holding the combined Fashion Revue and Performing Arts performance the evening of the judging at Immanuel Lutheran, beginning at 6:30pm. Please plan to return by 6:00pm to prepare for the performance and to view the show order.
Registration forms are due to the Extension Office by July 10th.
Fashion Revue is planned for 4-H members who wish to model a garment they have made or purchased which is needed in their wardrobe.
Participants may model any clothing they have constructed, restyled or purchased as a part of their 4-H clothing project.

The fashion revue program gives 4-Hers the opportunity to:
1. Build self-confidence and poise by developing an understanding of “self” which aids in the selecting and making of clothing that is becoming and expressive of one’s personality.
2. Develop skills in planning, selecting, and making becoming clothing for different occasions.
3. Select suitable and becoming accessories and model with confidence a garment made to meet one’s wardrobe needs.
4. Develop good posture and grooming habits.
5. Acquire knowledge and skills and roles, take part in community affairs and demonstrate citizenship responsibility.
6. Explore career, job and productive leisure opportunities.
7. Develop skills, knowledge and attitudes for lifelong use.

Performing Arts

Performing Arts will be judged on Monday, July 17th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caledonia. Judging will begin at 9:00am.
We will again be holding the combined Performing Arts and Fashion Revue performance the evening of the judging at Immanuel Lutheran, beginning at 6:30pm. Please plan to return by 6:00pm to prepare for the performance and to view the show order.
Registration forms are due to the Extension Office by July 10th.

Emphasis in the skills learned in performances of drama, music, theater, and other performing arts.
4-Her must be able to discuss the process of selecting, planning, performing and reflection on their project work.
Presentations may be individual or group.
If the exhibit is an actual performance, the performance shall not exceed 10 minutes.
4-Her is responsible for providing any accessories, props, or tools needed for your performance.
Scrapbooks, poems, etc. will be judged at the fair.
