Hubbard County 2017 4-H Fruit Sales

An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

Yep!! It’s fruit sale time.  Hubbard County 4-H participates in a large fruit sale during the month of February.

  • Why do we sell fruit?  It is easy to sell because it is delicious and people really look forward to our fruit sale.
  • What do we do with the money we raise?  The proceeds from this sale are split 50-50 between the clubs and the county program.  This money is used to send our 4-Her’s to 4-H summer camp, to BLU and YELLO (leadership camps) and to state fair.  All of these events are quite expensive, so our county and clubs try to help our families make it more affordable.  This money is also used to help put on project days for our youth and also benefits our Ambassador program.
  • How much fruit do you have to sell?  We encourage all of our families to sell a minimum of 200 pounds.  But you MUST sell at least 100 pounds to be eligible to receive these scholarships
  • So get out and sell some fruit.  Packets were mailed on January 19th.  If you did not receive a fruit sale packet, please contact our office at 732-3391.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ALL 4-H FAMILIES PARTICIPATE IN THIS FUNDRAISER.  OUR PROGRAM IS VERY DEPENDENT ON THE MONEY RAISED FROM THIS FUNDRAISER.
