Sold to the Highest Bidder

The world is still pretty snow covered as I look out my office window, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t thinking about our county fair.  Our livestock PDC (project development committee) is already working out our Blue Ribbon Animal Auction.

The Livestock Project Development Committee is in the process of changing the way the Livestock Auction is conducted.
In order to participate in the past, 4-Her’s needed to contact 5 businesses individually about becoming a bidder or about donating dollars towards the auction.

The Livestock PDC wants to make it easier for ALL who have a desire, to participate in our blue ribbon auction.  Youth that are eligible to be in the auction are youth that are showing a market animal (beef, swine, rabbit, poultry, sheep and goats) in grades 3-13 and breeding animals (all species except for lama and horse) for youth in grades 9-13.

We will have an informational meeting on the process of participating in the auction this year.  Please join us to find out all you need to know to be a part of this year’s auction.  Your attendance is strongly encouraged.

The Auction information night will be held February 13th at 6:00 pm at the Extension Office.
