Off Too BLU they go

Hubbard County has 16 youth and 2 chaperones to BLU.

BLU stands for Building Leadership and Understanding, and is being held in Detroit Lakes this year.  Each of the regions in the state of Minnesota hosts a BLU for our 6th graders and up.  We have never sent more the 3 or 4 youth to this event, so how exciting it is to see 16 of our youth heading off to learn more about becoming leaders.  But that’s not all.  Besides those 16 youth, our Ambassadors will be at BLU to present about their Mystery Trip.  Yes, our kids are really being pushed to use their public speaking skills.  Without hardly any arm twisting, we have 7 or 8 youth that will be leading a 40-minute session in front of the rest of the NW Region youth attending BLU.  We are so proud of our Ambassadors.  What an amazing group of young emerging leaders we have.
