Regional Summer Camp: PICCKMW Adult Application Deadline

April 25, 2014

St. Croix State Park, Norway Point Camp

Adult volunteers are needed to fill a variety of roles: program staff, night staff, tech staff, and kitchen help. Program staff supervises camp programming that is being lead by the camp counselors, they assist the counselors when needed, and may be called on to help with other activities such as workshops. Night staff conducts cabin checks, enforces lights out, and is available to help counselors and campers if they are needed during the night. Tech staff takes pictures and prepares the camp slideshow. Finally, kitchen staff assists the camp cook and help serve food during meals.
There are so many benefits of volunteering at camp, but here are my top five:
1. All your meals and snacks are included
2. You receive free lodging
3. You get an awesome camp t-shirt
4. Your kids can attend camp for FREE
5. You are a superhero to all the campers and counselors
If becoming an adult staff member sounds interesting to you, then please complete the enclosed adult volunteer application and submit it to the Pine County Extension Office. We would like to have all of the camp staff members selected by the end of April.
Also, I want to remind you to please ensure that your 4-H enrollment/screening is current. You will not be able to serve as a 4-H Volunteer or attend camp until your enrollment/screening is current. If you have never completed the volunteer screening process you will need to visit the Minnesota 4-H website for details or contact your Extension Office.
We would love to have you help with camp this year! Please contact Lorelie if you have any questions at swens451@umn.edu or 800-657-3813.
