  • Help wanted at County Fair!
    Judges assistants, livestock show assistants, 4-H building guardians, servers and more are needed at the Kandiyohi County Fair. Please contact the Extension office at 231-7890 if you can help.
  • Livestock Quality Assurance & Ethics (LQA&E) requirement
    All youth in grades 3-13 who are showing swine at County Fair MUST have LQA&E training every three years. Beef, Dairy, Goat, Llama, Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep exhibitors in grades 7-12 must have LQA&E in order to show at the State Fair.
  • Register now for Fashion Revue
    Fashion Revue is open to all members enrolled in the Clothing and Textiles project.
  • Welcome new 4-H members!
    There are 57 new 4-H members in Kandiyohi county. Welcome to 4-H!
  • County Fair registration
    County fair registration is now open! Clubs will hand out county fair registration forms and premium lists at their June meeting. If you miss your club's June meeting, it is your responsibility to contact your club leader to get your county fair sign-up sheet and premium list. County fair signups are due JULY 6!

  • HPAI - Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Information
    There have been several introductions of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in poultry in Minnesota and other Midwestern states. A hotline number (888-702-9963) is now available for poultry producers and members of the public who have general questions about avian influenza and biosecurity measures they can take to protect their birds. If you become aware of a sudden onset of sickness or high mortality in any kind or type of poultry flock (commercial or backyard) please call the Minnesota Board of Animal Health at 320 214 6700 (Ext 3804) or toll-free at 866-536-7593.
