Celebrating True Leaders in Service!

This April, Koochiching County 4-H pledges our hands to larger service all month long!

4-H is launching the annual True Leaders in Service initiative, a way for all 4-H members to say “thank you” to their communities, counties, and states for all the support they have provided to  4-H for over 100 years. All month long, we are encouraging youth and adults to venture out into the community to lend a helping hand through fundraising, neighborhood clean-up, beautification projects and much more.

This is how the members of Koochiching County 4-H are giving back to their communities.

Community Service Projects

  • On April 12, the Littlefork Lumberjacks 4-H Club will be heading over the Lofgren Park for some spring cleaning! Lumberjacks are #TrueLeaders in Service!
  • On April 19, the 4-H Cloverbuds Club is concluding its Healthy Living session with an Earth Day Trash Walk. Cloverbuds can explore being #TrueLeaders in Service, too!
  • On April 23, the Northome Northern Lights 4-H Club will be creating pollinator houses. Because saving wild Mason Bees is an important way to be #TrueLeaders in Service.

Service Learning Projects

  • The State Top Stars 4-H Club will be meeting on Tuesdays starting April 11 to learn firsthand what needs to get done to make a successful Community Service Project happen!
  • The GREAN Team will come together the first and last weekends of April to create their own service learning experience that will help members learn the value of service and be inspired to make a difference with 4-H members from around the region.

Do you want to help us make a positive, lasting impression on our community and celebrate the True Leaders who are making a difference through service?
