GREAN 2014 Leadership Adventure
We would like to invite you to join us as we gear up for another great GREAN leadership adventure! The team will be coming together to create a service learning experience that will help members learn the value of service while inspiring the desire to make a difference. Also on this exciting journey, you will improve your personal leadership skills and develop life long friendships.
The team will consist of 4-H youth members currently in grades 8-12 from our regional 4-H counties. To be an effective member of the team and make the most of the experience, you must be available to meet during the listed dates.
March 22-23, 2014 overnight retreat approx. 1pm Sat. – 1pm Sun.
May 9-10, 2014, overnight retreat. 6-7pm Friday (arrive & social) - 4pm Sun.
Retreats held at the Sawmill Inn, Grand Rapids
What & When will the service project be this year? YOU will decide.
Due to distance and scheduling hurdles, we may have several day meetings. Be prepared to communicate via email, conference calls, texting, and Facebook. Central locations can be set up for conference calls as needed.
Community partners value this service learning & leadership project and have supported us with grants and donations, however this is a complex undertaking.
To help provide the training, retreats, and support the program offers, we are asking each member for a $50 program fee, which covers both retreats and meetings.
To keep expenses down we ask for snacks to share at our meetings and retreats.
Installment payments on the $50 fee are acceptable. Checks made out to: Itasca County 4-H.
We need to make plans for our first meeting, so it is important that we receive your form ASAP!
Please return one form per youth by Monday, March 10, to the Koochiching County 4-H Office.
