Indus Eagles 4-H Club - FLL Robotics

Koochiching County 4-H - FLL Robotics

For roughly 10 fast-paced weeks, 4-H youth will work in teams to overcome obstacles and meet challenges. They will learn from and interact with their peers as well as adult Coaches and mentors. Teams will work to find creative solution to the problems presented to them in the FLL Challenge. They will then compete in local and regional tournaments. After the hard work and a lot of fun, youth come away feeling empowered to use science and technology concepts to change the world around them. In addition, they cultivate life skills such as planning, brainstorming, collaboration, and teamwork, as well as research, presentation and technical skills.

TEAM SIZE LIMIT: To keep an optimal learning environment and due to the limited number of Lego Robotic Kits, there is a limit to 6 youth per team.

GRADES: any youth in grades 5, 6, 7 & 8

LOCATION: ROOM 205 of the BACKUS COMMUNITY CENTER in INTERNATIONAL FALLS

DATES: Tuesdays & Thursdays starting October 10 and concluding with the Regional Tournament in Northome on Saturday, December 2. As tournament draws near additional team practices will be scheduled by team coaches.

TIME: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

COST: $25 per youth, includes team shirt. Make checks payable to NORTHERN COUNCIL 4-H LEADERS. Scholarships are available.
