LQA&E Training Locations

All youth participating as a State Fair 4-H livestock exhibitor in beef, dairy, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbit, meat and dairy goat, and llama must have completed the Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics workshop. Certification is good for three fair seasons.

Because we anticipate few participants in this year’s training, our county program will encourage any members that wish to receive the training to attend in neighboring counties.

  •  Beltrami County -- Saturday, March 4 in Bemidji, 8 a.m.-Noon at the Evangelical Covenant Church  Registration required by e-mailing Ann-Marie at wardt001@umn.edu or calling Beltrami Extension office at 218-444-5722. There is a $5 out of county participant fee. This training is open to youth in grades K to 12th. Parents are required to stay with Cloverbuds (K-2).
  • St. Louis County -- Saturday, April 1 in Cotton, 8:30-12:30 at Cotton Town Hall. Registration is required:  Go to https://goo.gl/forms/XNMrPY4bcnT6XD4j2  by e-mailing Nicole Kudrle at vande422@umn.edu@umn.edu or calling theNorth St. Louis Extension office at 218-749-7120. There is a $5 fee for out of county participants. This training is open to youth in grades 3 to 12th. 
  •  Itasca County -- Thursday, May 5 in Grand Rapids, 6:00- 9pm at the Itasca County Courthouse. Registration is required by e-mailing Rebecca Rasume at radai002@umn.edu or calling the Itasca Extension office at 218-327-7486. There is a $5 fee for out of county participants. This training is open to youth in grades 3 to 12th.
