  • Ringing in the Giving Season

    Families of the International Falls 4-H Community Club and Afterschool Programs are invited to take a turn ringing the Salvation Army Bell on Thursday, December 21 at the Kmart Store. Families may select one half hour shift (or more) between 4 and 7:30pm. The link to sign up form can be found here.

    Project Bowl season is right around the corner! Youth in Grades 3-8 are invited to join one of Koochiching County 4-H's 4-H Project Bowl teams. Patterned after the golden-oldie television show "College Bowl", it challenges teams of 3-6 youth on their knowledge of 4-H Horse or Rabbit project areas.

    Minnesota 4-H youth in grades 9-13 are invited to strengthen their communication, leadership, and citizenship skills at a national level by attending Citizenship Washington Focus in Washington D.C. from June 23-30, 2018. Registration will open Feb. 1, and close when all spaces have been filled, or by Feb. 28, whichever comes first.

  • It’s time to re-enroll

    Re-enrollment for 4-H members and adult volunteers is open. The volunteer re-enrollment period is Sept. 16 - Oct. 31. And remember, starting this fall, 4-H volunteer enrollment will last for three years.
  • Consider applying for an AMC 4-H Community Leadership Award

    The Extension Committee of the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) will select two 4-H club projects that will each receive awards of $500 in recognition for their contributions and service to their communities. The application deadline is Jan. 22.

    The State Top Stars 4-H Club is starting the new 4-H Club year off by hosting "4-H Rocks!" an evening of geological discovery on Monday, Oct 16 in Room 203 of the Backus Community Center from 6-pm to 7:30-pm.

    All youth participating as a State Fair 4-H livestock exhibitor in beef, dairy, sheep, swine, poultry, rabbit, meat and dairy goat, and llama must have completed the Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics workshop. Because we anticipate few participants needing this training, our county program will encourage any members that wish to receive the training to attend in neighboring counties.
