  • Message from Dorothy: Youth in 4-H make healthier choices

    Associate dean and state 4-H director Dorothy Freeman celebrates the connection between 4-H and healthy choices in young people. Two 4-H members' stories are featured and you're invited to share your own healthy living story.
  • Plan to attend the 2018 Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) trip to Washington DC!

    Minnesota 4-H youth in grades 9-13 are invited to strengthen their communication, leadership, and citizenship skills at a national level by attending Citizenship Washington Focus in Washington D.C. from June 23-30, 2018. Registration will open Feb. 1, and close when all spaces have been filled, or by Feb. 28, whichever comes first.
  • Registration ending soon for BLU leadership retreats!

    The 2018 Building Leadership & Understanding (BLU) leadership retreats will be held in five different locations across the state during the month of February. BLU is a great opportunity for youth in 6th grade and above to meet youth from across their region and learn about leadership too!
  • Announcing the 2018 4-H Engineering Design Rube Goldberg Challenge for high school youth

    Starting in 2018 the 4-H Engineering Design Rube Goldberg Challenge will include high school youth in grades 9 to one year after high school. The 2018 challenge will be to “plant a seed and water the seed”.
  • Jerry Ludwig of Redwood County named Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer

    Jerry Ludwig has been chosen as Minnesota’s 4-H Salute to Excellence Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer.
  • Crissy Otting of Clearwater County honored as Volunteer of the Year

    Crissy Otting has received the Minnesota 4-H Salute to Excellence Volunteer of the Year Award.
  • Ringing in the Giving Season

    Area 4-H Families are invited to take a turn ringing the Salvation Army Bell on Thursday, December 21 at the Kmart Store. Families may select one half hour shift (or more) between 4 and 7:30pm. The link to sign up form can be found here.
  • Register now for the BLU leadership workshop!

    Register now for the BLU leadership workshops for youth in 6th grade on up! This is a great opportunity to gain leadership skills and meet other youth from the area! Koochiching County will be attending the Northeast BLU in Palisade on Feb 24-25. This is a great opportunity to gain leadership skills and meet other youth from the area! The NE- BLU registration deadline is January 25.
  • Project Bowl season is about to begin

    Project Bowl season is right around the corner! Youth in Grades 3-8 are invited to join one of Koochiching County 4-H's Project Bowl teams. Patterned after the golden-oldie television show "College Bowl", it challenges teams of 3-6 youth on their knowledge of 4-H Horse or Rabbit project areas.
  • Join our 4-H Horse Project Bowl team

    Youth in grades 3rd to 8th are invited to join the 2018 Horse Project Bowl Team. Whether you are new to the 4-H Horse Project or know a lot about horses, come and learn more!
