  • Remember the State Animal ID deadline is May 15.

    All breeding beef, dairy, dog, dairy goats, meat goats, horse, lama, poultry, rabbit, sheep and swine animal projects need to be identified by May 15.
  • Congratulations 4-H Horse Project Bowl Team!

    Koochiching County 4-H's Horse Project Bowl Team, the Mustangs, were the Reserve Champions at Regional 4-H Project Bowl in Deer River on March 17. The team will be advancing to the State 4-H Project Bowl on April 7 in Sauk Rapids.

  • Apply to be a 2018 - 2019 Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador!

    The 2018 - 2019 Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador team application process will open in mid-April. This is a fantastic leadership opportunity for youth currently in grades 10-12. Apply by May 20!

  • Raise your hand for 4-H in Minnesota

    Help us grow the next generation of true leaders—vote for Minnesota! The Raise Your Hand campaign is a nationwide call to action for alumni and friends to "Raise Your Hand" and empower our youth with the skills to lead for a lifetime. The campaign runs April 1 - May 15. Each hand raised is a vote towards a $20,000, $10,000 or $5,000 award for the three states with the most hands raised.
  • Save the date for Supersession: A 4-H Dog Project training workshop

    This year’s workshop will take place June 15-17 and is open to youth in third grade and up, families, trainers, potential trainers, and youth and adult leaders. Registration information will be online soon.
  • Learn about scholarships available for college-bound 4-H youth

    Several scholarships are being offered for Minnesota 4-H youth pursuing post-secondary studies at accredited colleges and universities. Over $20,000 is awarded annually through a competitive application process. Visit the 4-H scholarship website to learn more and apply.
  • 4-H Youth attend "4-H on Ice" - Winter Fishing Event

    The youth leaders of the Northern Lights 4-H Club hosted a "4-H on Ice - Winter Fishing" event in Northome on Sunday, March 4. Details and photos from the day can be found here.
  • Youth Leaders attended BLU Retreat

    4-H youth leaders from Koochiching county attended the Northeast "Building Leadership and Understanding" Retreat at Long Lake Conversation Center in Palisade. The youth engaged in small group discussions, educational workshops, and large group activities to meet other youth from throughout the region. Check out our photo album here...
  • Exploring First Lego League Jr

    Koochiching County 4-H is piloting First Lego League Jr programming for youth in grades K to 3rd in Northome in Feb-Mar and in International Falls in April-May! It’s never too early to discover STEM.
