    Learn about new Livestock Quality Assurance training options for 4-H animal science members

    New in 2018 – 4-H animal science members can participate in one of two options for Livestock Quality Assurance certification training: 1) Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics (LQA&E) training, or 2) Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training. All youth participating as state fair 4-H livestock exhibitors must complete Livestock Quality Assurance training requirements.

    Horse Project Bowl Team place Second at State!

    More than 600 young people from across Minnesota gathered in Sauk Rapids on April 7 for University of Minnesota Extension's 4-H State Project Bowl. Koochiching County 4-H's Horse Project Bowl Team, the Mustangs, finished as the Reserve Champions for the Junior Horse Bowl division.

    Remember the State Animal ID deadline is May 15.

    Learn about scholarships available for college-bound 4-H youth

    Several scholarships are being offered for Minnesota 4-H youth pursuing post-secondary studies at accredited colleges and universities. Over $20,000 is awarded annually through a competitive application process. Visit the 4-H scholarship website to learn more and apply.
