    Associate dean and state 4-H director Dorothy Freeman invites you to celebrate your 4-H story during National 4-H Week, Oct. 1 - 7, 2017.
  • It’s time to re-enroll!
    Re-enrollment for 4-H members and adult volunteers is open. The volunteer re-enrollment period is Sept. 16 - Oct. 31. And remember, starting this fall, 4-H volunteer enrollment will last for three years.
  • Learn about the Science of Agriculture Challenge with this new video!
    The newest in the Discover Minnesota 4-H video series is ready just in time to start recruiting participants for the Minnesota 4-H Science of Agriculture Challenge.
  • Mark your calendars for 4-H BLU 2018!
    February, 2018 BLU regional leadership workshops dates and locations have been posted. These Minnesota 4-H State Ambassador hosted workshops include hands-on activities, games, small group discussions, and social activities. All youth grade 6 - one year past high school are encouraged to attend!
  • Sign up to attend 2017 Fall Volunteer Training!
    Volunteers are encouraged to sign up to attend an area training for 2017 Fall Volunteer Training. This favorite annual networking opportunity will be held at county and regional locations throughout Minnesota. Find your site!
  • 2018 4-H Year Begins Soon
    The 2018 4-H year officially begins on October 1, 2017. Be sure to enroll to ensure you are getting all the 4-H information you need.
  • September 4-H Federation Meeting
    Federation meetings are where county-wide events are planned and decisions are made for all 4-H youth in Lake County. Everyone is invited and encouraged to come. Federation meetings are most beneficial for youth in grades 6 and up, adults, and club leaders. Meetings are held the 3rd Monday of every other month at 7pm in the Split Rock River Room.
  • After School Clubs Start Again in October
    After School Clubs are scheduled to begin again in October. In Silver Bay they are to start and continue the second Tuesday of the month 3:30-4:30pm in the cafeteria for youth grades K-6. In Two Harbors they are to start and continue the third Tuesday of the month 3:30-4:30pm in the Minnehaha cafeteria for youth grades K-5. Adult or youth leaders are also being recruited to lead or at least help lead the sessions throughout the year. Contact Tracey for more information.
  • Lake County Represents at the MN State Fair
    Lake County had nine youth and one chaperone represented at the 2017 MN State Fair.
  • 2017 Lake County 4-Her of the Year - Sarah Swartout
    Sarah is the 2017 recipient of the Lake County 4-Her of the Year award as sponsored by the Two Harbors Chamber of Commerce. She was presented with a trophy and cash prize for her achievements at the special ceremony during the Lake County Fair.
