It’s Time to Start Forming Bowl Teams Again

Want to learn more about an animal science project in a fun, competitive atmosphere?  Join a Meeker County bowl team!
Project Bowl is a "quiz bowl" competition where all asked questions deal with a specific topic of interest. Currently, there are seven different bowls that include: Dairy/Dairy Goat, Dog, General Livestock, Horse, Poultry, Rabbit, and Wildlife.  Meeker County has organized teams in horse, rabbit, poultry, and dairy/dairy goat bowl in the past. There is always to opportunity to complete in other areas…we just need coaches!  For each bowl there are two divisions—junior and senior.  Junior teams are composed of 4-H’ers in grades 3 thru 8 and senior teams are composed of members in grades 4 thru college freshmen.  Teams of four to six members compete with each other in giving oral answers to questions read by a moderator.  Please contact the Extension Office if you are interested in participating!

Cost for participants is $5.00/each for the Regional competition and $6.00/each for the State competition. This fee can be paid to the Extension Office or teams coach at your first practice. All checks should be made payable to Meeker County 4-H.
