4-H Food Review & Demonstration Day

All Food Review participants are asked to provide their recipe (preferably in electronic format) and a photo (preferably digital) of the completed dish to be included in a recipe book that will be compiles of all the 2018 Food Review dishes.

All participants must be actively enrolled in 4-H for the 2017-2018 4-H year to be eligible to participate

What is Food Review?
Food Review is an opportunity for 4-H youth to plan, prepare, and serve foods as part of a meal or snack. Participants choose a theme, menu, and prepare the main dish for judging. They will create a table setting to match the dish and theme they chose. Judges will not taste the dishes, but will ask the members about their knowledge of the preparation techniques, cost, nutritional value, and more.

What are Demonstrations?
Demonstrations are public presentations by youth to share information on a topic, to show how to do/make something, and more! There are a number of different types of demonstrations: traditional, illustrated presentation, and youth-in-action. Demonstrations can also be done individually or as a team.
