Remember to Re-enroll by January 1st to Receive County Scholarship Dollars in 2017

The following was passed in March 2015 as part of the 4-H Federation Constitution and Bylaws:
If youth are an enrolled 4-H member by January 1st, youth will receive a scholarship of up to 50% of  registration fees for all region and state 4-H organized and 4-H Staff approved out of county youth events as long as adequate funds are included in the annual budget for the activity.  Potential events include:  State and National showcase events, Citizenship Washington Focus, Interstate Exchange, National 4-H Conference, Project Bowl, Judging Contests, Regional 4-H Residential Camp, Regional Youth Leader Events, and other activities as approved by 4-H Staff.  Additional funds may be available upon request.  In the event of financial hardship, additional scholarship dollars may be available upon request from 4-H Staff.  If youth are an enrolled 4-H member by January 1st, youth will received a scholarship of 100% of registration fees associated with serving as a regional 4-H residential youth camp counselor as long as adequate funds are included in the annual budget for the activity.  New, first year members are eligible for scholarships as indicated above regardless of enrollment date.  All state fair adult chaperones will received a scholarship of 100% of their fees, including, but not limited to: program fee, meals, lodging, and county offered bus transportation as long as adequate funds are included in the annual budget for the activity.
