Winter 4-H County Fundraiser

We ask for participation from all Meeker County 4-H Families in our Annual Fundraiser!  Important details below!

At the October 16 4-H Federation Meeting, members voted to again conduct our annual fundraiser.  Details were determined at the November 20 Leader’s Council Meeting.  We will again sell fruit, meat and cheese through MinnTex Citrus and coffee from Minnesota Coffee Roasters.  We will be selling locally made candy through a new vendor, Mr. B’s Chocolates located in Willmar.

This important fundraiser is one of the main sources of income to fund many of the activities and the many scholarships the Meeker County 4-H Federation provides.  Those opportunities include the 50% scholarship for Minnesota State Fair, summer camp payouts for both campers and counselors, countywide programs like the awards celebration and family fun night, insurance for all members and screened volunteers, club funding, and more!  ALL Meeker County 4-H’ers benefit from this fundraiser and as a result we would like 100% participation.

Incentives will again be awarded as follows:
Top five sellers:

  • 1st: $75
  • 2nd: $50
  • 3rd – 5th: $25

  • 10% of their total sales back for club use
  • Top four clubs with highest average sales per 4-H’er will have first choice of one of their 4-H Foodstand shifts.  Shift times choices will be done in order from the top average sales club to the fourth highest average sales club.

All families are asked to sell at least $50.00 worth of product this year, or make a $50 donation to cover the cost of lost fundraising efforts.

New this year!  Watch for order forms to be mailed to your family end of January/early February.  Also watch for further information as relayed by your Club Leader, Council Members, and next month’s newsletter!
