  • Celebrate service - thank you, Volunteers!

    Join us April 15-21 for National Volunteer Week as we celebrate the thousands of volunteers who support youth in developing their passion and important life skills. Thank you to all Minnesota 4-H volunteers!
  • Save the date for Supersession: A 4-H Dog Project training workshop

    This year’s workshop will take place June 15-17 and is open to youth in third grade and up, families, trainers, potential trainers, and youth and adult leaders. Registration information will be online soon.
  • Two train the trainer 4-H Dog Project leader workshops are being offered this spring

    Workshops will take place April 28-29 in Redwood Falls and May 5-6 in Wadena. This training is open to 4-H Dog Project trainers, potential trainers, high school age youth leaders and adult leaders who train in county programs. Register by April 20.
  • Gopher Dairy Camp returns in 2018!

    2018 Gopher Dairy Camp will be held June 10-12 at the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus. This camp is open to youth who have completed grades 6-9, but have not yet started 10th grade. Prior experience with dairy cattle is required. Register by May 25.

  • Learn about scholarships available for college-bound 4-H youth

    Several scholarships are being offered for Minnesota 4-H youth pursuing post-secondary studies at accredited colleges and universities. Over $20,000 is awarded annually through a competitive application process. Visit the 4-H scholarship website to learn more and apply.
  • Are you interested in becoming a 4-H dairy goat judge?

    A 4-H dairy goat judges training is planned for Saturday, May 19 at the Benton County Fairgrounds. Adults (past 4-H age eligibility) who are interested should mark their calendars and register now!
  • Learn about new Livestock Quality Assurance training options for 4-H animal science members

    New in 2018 – 4-H animal science members can participate in one of two options for Livestock Quality Assurance certification training: 1) Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics (LQA&E) training, or 2) Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training. All youth participating as state fair 4-H livestock exhibitors must complete Livestock Quality Assurance training requirements.
  • Sewing 101 Workshop Series

    We are excited to announce we have a Sewing 101 class series coming soon. Through our five session class you will learn the basics of sewing and fabric selection along with completing three projects.
  • Ambassador Advisor Spotlight

    Let’s meet our 4-H ambassador advisors! We are excited to welcome back Lyn Meany as our ambassador advisor and we are excited to announce Kristina Abbas will be joining Lyn as an ambassador advisor. Lyn and Kristina will work together as co-advisors to lead our growing Mower County 4-H Ambassador Program!
