Murray County results at Regional 4-H Project Bowl

Junior Horse Team members going on to state project bowl competition

On Saturday, March 15, three teams from Murray County 4-H participated in the Regional 4-H Project Bowl contest in Redwood Falls.  Each of these teams was competing for a spot at the state competition, which will be held in Sauk Rapids on April 5.

Two teams from Murray County competed in the horse division at the Regional Contest.  Murray County 4-H Junior Horse Team members Rachel Siedschlag, Audra Homandberg, Maggie Heezen, and Macy Posthuma earned their way to State 4-H Project Bowl in April with a 4th place finish.  Murray County Junior Horse Team members Karlie Heezen, Michelle Zenk, Isaiah Kathman, Byranne Bose, and Emily Kathman placed 5th at the competition.

In the dairy division (covering dairy cattle and dairy goats), Murray County 4-H'er Kiley Van Eck teamed up with Pipestone and Rock counties to send a senior team to the regional event.  The team placed 3rd and will also be competing at the state contest in Sauk Rapids.

Congratulations to all Murray County 4-H project bowl participants on a successful bowl season and good luck to the two teams competing at the state contest in April.  Also, thank you to all of the volunteer coaches and parents for your dedication to the Murray County 4-H project bowl program.  Your time and expertise are certainly valuable and very much appreciated!
