Scholarship Opportunities! Laural Capistran Murphy Scholarship

The Laural Capistran Murphy Scholarship, through the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, has been established by the family and friends of Laural to recognize her commitment to Minnesota’s 4-H program and her belief in self-education, cooperative volunteering, and helping others through community involvement.  Through Laural’s scholarship, people from Norman County are encouraged to pursue post-secondary education through a college, university, trade school, tech school, or other accredited technical or vocational education/training institution or program in fields of study supported by the Minnesota 4-H programs.

Recipients must meet requirements such as live within the Norman County area and be 16 years of age or older.  You must have been a participant in Minnesota 4-H programs or other similar worthwhile organizations.  For complete details and an application package, please contact the Norman County Extension Office.  You can also go to for details and application.  Click on Find a Fund, search is possible in each of the fields.  When the scholarship fund name appears in the list, click on the fund name or Read More.  The deadline for applying is April 15, 2017.
