Find a Livestock Mentor or Animal for Lease

Is your family new to the livestock project area? Or perhaps you are thinking about showing a new species but you aren't ready to purchase an animal? Good news! Your fellow 4-H Families can help you out!

We have compiled a list of 4-H families, organized by species, who are willing to lease animals and also families who are willing to serve as mentors to other 4-H families.

Leasing: Means that you essentially "rent" an animal from another family.  If you are going to be leasing an animal from another family, please see this article for rules and guidelines for the leasing process. Please note that market animals are not allowed to be leased.

Mentor: Families listed here are willing to show you the ropes of a species. Mentors are here to help teach you aspects of raising and showing whatever species the two of you have in common. Mentors are also willing to help offer guidance for your County Fair experience.
