Lessons in 4-H Leadership: Understanding Ages of Youth

Youth development is the core of our work in 4-H. Through the University of Minnesota, we have access to research and resources to help us better serve our 4-H’ers.

Please click here for a brief two page article that outlines how to best work with youth of different ages. We hope you will take a few moments to review this document.

As an additional incentive, you can earn a $5.00 gift card, compliments of Janet Malone, by answering a few trivia questions!

E-mail Janet at with the answers to the following questions to qualify:

What is a strength and a challenge of a 4-H club?
What years are the Gen Y generation born?
What is the difference between the Beginners  and the Advanced “ability to plan”
How can this information make the best better for you and those you serve within the EOT 4-H Program?
