The 4-H Program has implemented a statewide member exemption policy. If a member should miss a deadline, they would be eligible once in their 4-H career to apply for an exemption to have all of the consequences waived. For example, if you miss the May 15 enrollment deadline, you can apply for the one time exemption. If you choose not to apply for exemption, you will not be eligible for a champion placing, to participate in the livestock auction, or be eligible to advance to competition beyond the county fair. The process to apply for exemption must occur in an appropriate time frame. For additional information and details check the 4-H Competitive Events: Deadline, Consequences and Exemptions Information Sheet.
Please contact the Extension Office if you would like to use your one time exemption.
