Pine County 4-H Shooting Sports Planning

Did you know that last year we had 48 youth enrolled in the Shooting Sports and Wildlife project in 2016/2017?  Several youth went on to compete at the state level last year and our PDC is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Last year, these youth supported by adult volunteers created a three-day long day camp to introduce the project to other youth from around Pine County.  If you are interested in planning this years' calendar for SS&W, please put January 16 on your calendar.

Agenda items include discussing a calendar for 2018, including important dates such as instructor training, practice days etc., looking for sponsors for our program along with getting ideas for programming that can be offered to increase awareness of our program, teach youth safety, or connect with other organizations from around the state who have careers utilizing the fundamentals taught in the shooting sports program.

Please come prepared with your ideas to the Pine County Administration Building on January 16 at 7pm.  We will try to conclude the meeting at 8:30.  If you would like more information about Minnesota 4-H Shooting Sports and Wildlife please follow this link:
