4-H Fun After School Adventures

4-H Robotics - Join 4-H afterschool for a series to explore the world of circuits, robots and programming. Each week we will learn about building and programming using the “Lego We Do 2.0 Robots”. Working with partners, you will work together to complete multiple challenges to build and program Robots. This is a beginner class for 2-5th graders.

4-H Cookin' with Books
Join 4-H for this wonderful class that enhances both reading and cooking skills. Sign up with your friends, learn some new cooking skills AND make delicious and nutritious recipes. Each student should bring a book related to the theme and share their favorite book passages with their group. All supplies included in fee and recipes will be handed out at the end of each session. This class is for K-5th graders; please let us know when registering if you have any food allergies.
 
Week #1 - Secret Pizza Party
How does a raccoon like his pizza? Oh, let me tell you the ways. How do you like your pizza? Join us after school to make homemade pizza dough for our own personal pizzas. Bring your favorite book about Pizza!  
 
Week #2 - The Doorbell Rang
What happens when Grandma makes a batch of cookies?  All your friends show up and you need to share your cookies.  We will be making some delicious cookies just like Grandma. Bring your favorite book where the characters eat or make cookies!
 
Week #3 -  If you give a Pig a Pancake
This book has had many readers flipping for pancakes. We will mix up some fun pancakes and top them high with toppings. Bring your favorite book where the characters enjoy breakfast!
 
Week #4 - The Runaway Wok
Do you like Chinese food? Would you like to learn how to make some of your favorite take-out dishes as home?  We will read Runaway Wok and make some of those famous recipes. Bring your favorite book where the characters try different foods from around the world!
