Ambassadors Complete Animal Allies Service Project

County Ambassadors complete service project

At their May meeting at the 4-H office the County Ambassadors got together and built dog beds, dog toys, scratching boxes and cat toys for all of homeless the animals at Animal Allies. Everyone worked super hard during the build, but had a lot of fun too! Maybe you can tell that by the smiles. Lydia Herbertz had a great design for the beds, as she had built them before, and everyone jumped right in. With everything from glue guns to cordless drills, the projects quickly came together. By the end of the evening we had a pile of great gifts. At our next meeting we plan to meet at Animal Allies to present the gifts-and maybe pet some puppies.

The County Ambassador program is energized and has big plans for this year. From special events at the County Fair to kayaking the Brule River, they are ready for adventure and learning this year. If you are in grade 6 and above and want to learn more, give me a call at 733-2873 or
