Agricultural Communication & Marketing at the U of M

The University of Minnesota in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resources Sciences is offering a new major in Agricultural Communication and Marketing. This major prepares students for a career in agricultural communication, journalism, marketing, sales, training, management, leadership, business and extension. Students learn how to build understanding, share knowledge, increase awareness, and make valuable contributions to the dynamic and evolving food and agricultural fields. The program includes coursework in media writing, campaign planning, social media strategy, digital storytelling, and visual communication. The major combines the scientific aspects of food and agriculture with the technical and social skills students need to become future agricultural leaders and advocates.
