Summer 4-H Dog Training

Dog Training

4-H Dog Training is a great opportunity to train your dog in obedience, showmanship, or agility.  You can also participate in the 4-H county or state dog show; but competition is not a requirement.   Training is offered in three locations this summer:

Embarrass, MN- This is a 10 week summer course open to all 4-H youth. Training occurs on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm starting May 23rd. The cost is free.

Ely, MN-   This is a summer program open to all 4-H youth of all ability levels. Training occurs on Monday evenings from May-August 6:30-8:00pm. There is no charge.

Virginia, MN- Offers year-round training at the Iron Range Dog Club in the Thunderbird Mall on Thursday nights from 5:30-6:15. Sessions are 8 weeks in length and the cost is $10 per session.

Pre-registration for each session is required. To register go to Checks are made payable to:   North St Louis Federation, payment must be received prior to the start of each session.

This summer agility training will be offered starting Thursday June 1st. In order to participate in agility classes you and your dog must have completed 2 years of obedience training.
