Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Nancy L.  a Volunteer with the Merry Weather Workers 4-H Club. Recently she shared her experience as a volunteer with the North St. Louis County 4-H Program.

Nicole Kudrle: How did you first get connected to 4-H?

A friend asked me to lead her son's group when the current leaders decided to be done.

Nicole Kudrle: What is your Favorite part of being a 4-H Volunteer?

I enjoy providing the kids with new experiences.

Nicole Kudrle: In what way(s) does 4-H make a difference in the lives of young people?

I think 4-H provides a safe place to try new things and practice old things.

Nicole Kudrle: Of all the places you could volunteer, why do you choose 4-H?

All my grandchildren can participate in the activities.

Nicole Kudrle: What would you say to somebody who's thinking about being a 4-H volunteer?

It can be a positive experience for the children and the volunteers as well.
