Youth Spotlight

Meet Mikayla S. a member of the Bay Tree Field 4-H Club. She was also active with the North St. Louis County Ambassadors and president of the Federation. Recently she shared her 4-H experience:
Nicole Kudrle: What has been your favorite 4-H project to show at the County Fair?
My favorite 4-H project has been showing dairy cows.
Nicole Kudrle: How has 4-H helped you grow leadership skills?
4-H helps me grow my leadership skills by being more outgoing, speaking in front of peers and having more responsibilities to follow.
Nicole Kudrle: How has 4-H helped you serve your community or make a difference for others?
4-H will make a difference to others by doing our STEM day and project fun day. This will allow kids to get out and learn new things for a few hours.
Nicole Kudrle: What is your favorite 4-H experience?
My favorite thing I did in 4-H this last year was the state fair trip. It was fun to experience a bigger fair then just our county fair and meeting more 4-H’ers from Minnesota.
Nicole Kudrle: Why do you think other young people should join 4-H?
I think young kids should join to get out and meet new people. There is something in 4-H for everyone. You can do a lot of different projects for the fair and in our community.
