    There is always a lot going on in north St. Louis County 4-H.

    Horse Project Summer Clinics

    Calling all NSL 4-H Horse Riders in grades 3 and up! The NSL Youth Horse Planning group has been busy planning bi-weekly clinics to help riders improve skills in both pleasure and gaming classes.

    4-H County Fair Schedule

    NSL 4-H Calendar Fundraiser

    This year in November and December the NSL 4-H Fundraising committee has decided to sell calendars to raise funds for the 4-H Federation.

    Federation Meeting

    Our next Federation meeting will be Monday, September 17th at 6:30 p.m.

    State Dog Show - September 22-23

    The Minnesota 4-H State Dog Show is an annual event held in the fall after the Minnesota State Fair.

    NE Livestock Show

    The NE Livestock Show will take place September 15-16 at the Crow Wing County Fairgrounds in Brainerd.

    State Horse Show September 14-17

    The Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show is held each September on the weekend after Labor Day.

    Special Events Day

    Demonstrations, Performing Arts and Fashion Review will be judged at the County Fair this year on Friday, August 10th.

    Horse Play Day - Time to Register

    The NSL Youth Horse Planning Group have been hard at work planning the Horse Play Day 2018!

    Fundraising at the Fair

    This year the Fundraising Committee has decided to sell ARCO coffee at the County Fair.

    Summer 4-H Dog Training

    4-H Dog Training is a great opportunity to train your dog in obedience, showmanship, or agility.

    Heart and Hooves Clinic

    The Heart and Hooves Clinics focus on strengthening the partnership between horse and enrolled 4-H riders grades 6+ using groundwork, obstacle course work and riding basics. These clinics offer an amazing opportunity for equestrian and equine to advance their skill level, no matter their previous experience. Clinics I & II will take place June 23-25 and Clinic III will be September 15 & 16 at the Heart and Hooves Horsemanship Arena and Obstacle Course in Deer River, MN. The $400 fee for Clinics I & II and $250 for Clinic II includes meals and camping onsite is available.

    Project Bowl State

    This year north St. Louis County had 4 teams participate in State Project Bowl. They represented the county well.

    Animal ID Forms Due May 15

    All 4-H members intending to exhibit beef, dairy, dog, goat, horse, lama, rabbit, sheep, swine, (Except market beef and market dairy which were due Feb. 15) in our county fair 4-H classes or any 4-H event, will need to complete the 4-H animal ID paperwork.

    June 7-10, 2018 - Camp Shamineau near Motley Youth in grades 3+ and their families are invited. 4-H Cloverbuds are not eligible to participate.
