4-H Goat Project Day
This FREE 4-H Goat Project Day will be held on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at the beef barn on the Steele County fairgrounds. The time and location coordinate with the Steele County 4-H Market Goat Central ID. No pre-registration is necessary and all youth in grades K-13 are invited to attend. Several stations will be set up and led by Steele County 4-H'ers. Topics will be:
Health Maintenance - A presentation on nutrition, housing, vaccinations, and parasite control.
Preparing to Show - Live demonstration on how to trim hooves and shear hair.
Showmanship - Live demonstration on how to show wether vs doe in show ring.
Bi-Products - Board and display of items produced with goat's milk.
