Member Spotlight Info

Are you loving the new Member Spotlight section?  We’re having so much fun learning about our members and sharing that with all of you!  Starting in 2018, these will be published in local newspapers as a way of marketing 4-H in Wadena County.   We’ve started with ambassadors for a couple of reasons:

They’re here.  It’s been easy to have them filled out while we’re already meeting and then the paper never leaves the office and doesn’t run the risk of getting lost.

As leaders in our county’s 4-H program, it’s important that you get to know and recognize them as they will likely be able to help you out a bit—especially during the fair, eventually, they’ll even be able to make club visits!

They have some investment in the program.  Youth have to be in at least 7th grade and have at least 1 year of 4-H experience in order to be an ambassador.

That being said, ultimately we want these spotlights to be diverse and show the possibilities available within 4-H so if you’re not an ambassador but interested/willing to fill out the spotlight questionnaire, please let Virginia know!  We would also love to mix in some adult volunteers into this place and have developed a separate questionnaire for them so youth and adults are welcome to fill them out and get them back to the Extension Office and wait to see when you’ll be featured!
