Risk Management Training For Volunteers

We will be hosting a Risk Management Training for Volunteers preceding the May Leader’s Council meeting.  This training will be on Tuesday, May 30 at the 4-H Building, beginning at 5:30pm

It encompasses the roles and expectations of volunteers in keeping youth safe, introduces a planning tool that we can use when planning events, and provides some scenarios to walk through in order to gain some experience managing potential risks using the MN 4-H Policy.  Supper will be served along with the training.

Watch for more information on this event as it draws nearer.  While most of the information is pretty common knowledge, it will be nice to give everyone a policy update as well as the planning tool.  In addition to learning to manage our risk to keep the youth that we are working with safe, this will also help us to learn to keep ourselves safe both physically and in case a legal matter ever would arise.  Furthermore, they are always good reminders with the County Fair and summer fun events right around the corner!
